Adobe has always limited you in how big you can create a document. It's 216 inches (508 cm). But the limit for exporting a PDF is only 200 inches. I found this out by getting errors and wrestling with Customer Service until we figured it out. So realistically, unless they change the parameters in future updates, you shouldn't make any files larger than 200 inches. You'll need to build things as a fractional scale, such as half size.
We've always had to do this with large-format graphics, but the discrepancy is the issue. You can build it, but you just can't export it. Keep it under 200 and you'll be fine.

Was not aware of that. I guess I never got between 200-216 on a file size. Why not just limit the document size to 200?

One of life's little mysteries.

The tech at customer service seemed equally perplexed.
