I've checked the following:

"Adobe" is the name of a software house. What is this "Adobe 4" and "Adobe 5"? Where do you select these? In what software?

Surely you are correct.

(There is no PDF version 4 or 5 as its version numbers only go up to 1.7, which has been frozen as ISO 32000-1, and that's the last version supported by InDesign CC2018. Since last year there also is a PDF2.0.

Adobe's naming scheme in the PDF export dialog is as opaque as all of their names; they refer to Acrobat 4 and 5. But both of these are a decade old and we're now on Acrobat DC. Heaven knows what actual real version number that is. (600?))

As for me, I am guessing OP is looking at this with Apple Preview.

Hi! I was using Apple preview. Opening it in Chrome's PDF viewer showed the missing layer. Is Apple preview outdated or why doesn't it display all layers?
