Linking textboxes changes their size

Hello,

whenever I try to link text between two textboxes, the textbox I'm linking to completely changes it's size.

Is there any way to avoid that?

Do you have auto-expand tunred on as a text frame property, perhaps as part of an object style? If so, try turning it off.
