Hi everyone, please, if anyone can help me with this issue,

I am working on an InDesign project that contains several social media links. In InDesign, the links are fine and can be opened, but when I export the project as an interactive PDF, some links can be opened and others cannot, specifically for Facebook and X.

How are you opening the PDF? Acrobat? Browser? A third party reader app?

What happens when you do click on those links?

I opened it through Acrobat and all the other links except for Facebook and Twitter (X) opened in InDesign normally from the hyperlink window.

I'll ask one more time. What happens when you try to open Facebook and X and what are the exact URLs you're using?

Hi @mohameda50314103,

I understand how frustrating this issue can be. To assist you better, could you share the following details:

1. The version of InDesign you’re using.

2. The operating system details (Windows or macOS and its version).

In the meantime, confirm the below:

1. Ensure the social media links are correctly formatted in InDesign, including the "http://" or "https://" prefix.

2. When exporting as an interactive PDF, make sure you’re selecting "Interactive PDF" and not "Print PDF" to retain hyperlink functionality.

3. Verify the links in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader, as some third-party PDF readers may not handle hyperlinks well.

4. Double-check each link to ensure none are broken or restricted (e.g., by privacy settings on platforms like Facebook or X).

If the issue persists, please let me know. A screenshot of your export settings or the specific error message would also be helpful!

Thanks,
