Mac InDesign files opening as read-only from linux file server

- Many of the artworkers in our studio are experiencing InDesign files intermittently opening as Read-Only on our network. After trying several times of opening and closing the files may open correctly.

- The files can be 'Saved As' once opened to save any changes, but will open as Read-Only again straight afterwards.

- We have tried adding 'InDesign' to System Preferences - Security & Privacy - 'Full Disk Access' and 'Files & Folders' but it hasn't helped.

- We have tried it on SMB and AFP with no change to behaviour

- It has been happening with previous versions of InDesign.  We are currently using Indesign 2024.

- It effects both intel and M1 & M2 chip computers.

Anybody got any ideas other than the ones we have tried please?

If not, then contact your admin and ask them to create a case or start chatting through the admin console.
