MacOs Quick View INDD and more, like AE or Premiere. Please give us that feature

When checking files on MacOs we have quick view (point at a file, press spacebar and you get a preview of that file ... a beautiful OS feature we all like very much!). This works natively with AI and EPS files (because they are Postcript?). But previewing an INDD file or AE file just shows an icon and no more information.

It would really help if we could see more informationa about an InDesign file: a preview of the pages?

There are third-party apps that can do that (Art View for example). But I hate buying/installing other apps that do something Adobe should do in the first place.

I think Adobe should provide a decent preview feature for MacOs and Windows (do they have something like Quick Preview ... I do not know ...) for different documents, not only InDesign but also After Effects  or Premiere and what more.

So Adobe, I pay roughly 600 euros per year for your apps, but a decent 'spacebar' preview is not an option? Come on, get this fixed please. I'm not the only one wanting/needing this

Here's a feature request you can upvote for supporting QuickLook in InDesign. https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests/suggestions/39021217-quicklook

I know this is a Mac only feature, but I agree that it would be very nice for Adobe to add support.

Make a PDF before closing the app... seems like the easiest way.

Given the fact that it's been upvoted a whopping eight times in more than two and half years, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Based on that metric (and the fact that they've not done it yet) I agree. One of the problems with the User Voice upvoting is few app users actually know about it (even few people posting on these forums know about it, as we have to keep pointing them to it). So while it does offer Adobe some feedback, it's still a limited view of what users actually want.

Use Adobe Bridge to manage & preview your files.

That's what I use.

Hi Nancy,

I'm aware of the fact that Bridge can do this, but it is not as intuitive as just hitting the spacebar when you encounter an InDesign document in the Finder. I don't use Bridge the way I use the Finder.
