Margins Importing from word

Hi,

I have a manuscript that I am importing from Word and the margins on the first few pages are off. There is a half inch margin which seems to be retained from word within the text box. This is only on the first few pages and then it goes away. The spot where it ends is where there was a bullet list. From that point on the text goes to the edge of the text box. I can not figure it out .

Please help.

Apply the desired paragraph style to the faulty paragraphs. As Bob notes, it sounds like a text indent got picked up for those pages. Word import is not always flawless.

More generally, review the styles on each paragraph. Each one should be individual, distinct and not have  + flag indicating it's been changed by overrides.

Check the paragraph style for indents.
