Hello, I'm trying to find a way to merge a book file with keeping the hyperlinks. My method is to move the pages into one single document. But the hyperlinks that link to a page on another document don't seem to work. It tells me that it couldn't find the document and resets the referenced page to the page that the hyperlink is on.
Do you have any ideas or other methods to merge a book file?
Might sound silly - but did you update the page numbering in the book panel? You can find this in the three lines (that look like a hamburger) in the top right of the book panel.
The hyperlinks work in the book file, but I moved all the book documents into a single document so it isn't a book anymore. And after this step, the hyperlinks don't work anymore.
Probably because the hyperlinks reference a document and that document doesn't exist anymore so you need to relink them to the pages they are related to.
Why did you move the pages from a book to a single document?
The referenced and combined documents are in the same folder as the book files. But it seems that after moving pages to another document the hyperlinks don't work anymore. I also tried to create a script that sets the document for all hyperlinks, but the hyperlinks seem to be broken after moving.
I need to move the pages because I'm using a plugin called in5 to export the whole document to generate a HTML based catalogue.
