Changing OS should not affect the work files, only the applications themselves which may or may not need to be upgraded to run on the new OS. Your documents, images and illustrations should open just fine in any version from the one used to create them or newer.

That said, there are a lot of reports of problems with InDesign version 19.4 on Sonoma. You should check the forums for your other applications to see about them.

Most users problems with Sonoma is that they DON'T KEEP UIP WITH OS UPDATES. I know of no existing problems if you keep your OS up-to-date.
