I have saved a file in the past numerous times and recently renamed it and saved again. A week later, upon clicking the file in recents section a warning pops up reading as "one or more file aliases could not be resolved...". I cannot seem to find this file anywhere, and I did not think I through it in the trash. It is missing in trash and normal files. This is on a Mac computer. Please help. This is a final project and I don't want to restart....

In InDesign, go to File > Open and in the upper-right corner of the window, there's a search field. Type in the name of the file and you should find it. See screenshot attached.

Good luck on your final project.

It is not there. I am not sure what happened to the file.

Try just typing part of the name to see if it comes up.

Have you tried using  File > Find in the Mac Finder? Do you have a backup?
