missing fonts in indesign

I'm having issues with InDesign 2025. After upgrading, many of the fonts I previously downloaded in InDesign 2024 are missing. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the software, but the fonts are still not available.

I have the fonts installed on my laptop, and I can use them everywhere except in InDesign 2025.

Are you sure they aren't fonts installed my Microsoft Office, which lately has been making some fonts only available to Office applications?

Almost all the fonts I downloaded from Google or Adobe Fonts are missing, only the basic ones are there.

If you're talking about Adobe fonts that you've previously downloaded then try this. Sign out from your Adobe account and then sign in again in the Creative Cloud desktop app. I've found that this simple action will usually bring back previously downloaded fonts.
