My Indesign seems to have gone crazy, I get a modal dialog that says that I'm not allowed to read the file, or someone else is using it. I have talked to my collegues (we sometimes reuse each others files) they haven't used the files, the can open them, save them, with no trouble. I tried to copy the files to my desktop and disconnect to our server, but the problem persists. I reinstalled InDesign (19.4, on a mac with Sonoma 14.4.1), but no difference. I have tried via VPN from home and at the office. I have been able to open some files, but not the three files that seems corrupt somehow. If I open one Indesign-file and it works ok, and I open one of the troublesom files I get the same message for all the files. Help! I don't know what to try next!
(Unfortunately the screen dumps are in swedish, but if anyone happen to be able to read them, they might be helpful. )
Thank you for these, I will keep them! My problem this time seems to be caused by one little corrupt logo-file, that is linked to one or two of our indt-files. Which means that it's more or less everywhere. But if we open the files, click OK on the modal dialog and then, faster than lightning deletes the logo and saves, it seems to work. Yeah, you can image the time it took for us to sort this out ...
