Mouse Stuttering and Freezing

I have recently developed a problem whilst using InDesign. My cursor doesn't move fluidly, rather it starts 'stuttering' and sometimes freezing altogether.

I am running Windows 11 (completely updated) on a AMD Ryzen 7 5700 with 64GB of RAM. Two NVidia GeForce RTX 3060s with up-to-date graphics drivers.

I have uninstalled InDesign and deleted all preferrences and traces of the software and reinstalled and still have the same issue (the attached video is of a clean reinstall).

I have tried with other Adobe software open and no other adobe software. I have tried with my standard apps open, I have tried with nothing open. I have tried after running my desktop for a while, I have tried after a complete shutdown and restart of the desktop (I even went so far as to unplug the desktop and plug it back in so there would be no question of the restart).

The video shows InDesign after I opened it, and I am moving the mouse the whole time, you can see it freeze up and stutter. It gets worse when I have a document open. Doesn't matter if it is a brand new blank document or a previous document I have been working on.

All-in-all, this is making InDeisgn almost completely unusable which is sad since I love the software and usually use it on a daily basis.

What is the exact version of InDesign?

Can you check what are the latest updates installed in the system?

Maybe you're the first victim...

I am running Windows version 10.0.26120.3576 (anyone else find it stupid and rediculuous that Microsoft released Windows 11 and yet didn't update the version number to 11?).

Indesign is version 20.2 and it x64 (not sure if you can even get an x32 version anymore).

I didn't write down the version numbers every month, I am not in the habit of having to keep up with that kind of information on expensive production software. If you want version numbers, I would say basically every single version since InDesign 2025 was released in the fall has had the issue and it has been growing worse every time. But, I dont know if Adobe does updates like Microsoft where sometimes you get it and sometimes you dont, that could cause a problem if I were to look up InDesign version numbers and just list them here, but if you want me to, I can.

"Them" should have been "You" as in the people posting on here trying to help. I noticed that typo after I hit post, but unforunately I could not find an edit button that allows me to go back and fix any typos.
