Hello all,
I'll keep this short and sweet.
I need a way to imput farsi into InDesign CC 2017 but still keep the english settings, the one thread I could find on this mentioned the following:
You have to install additional to your installation a MENA version.
After installing your primary language (e.g. English or German), open the CC application, change the Application Language to somethng which supports RTL like Arabic.
When you set up a new document now, you can change the binding, set up the paragraph styles with farsi (fonts and othr features)
Work with it.
However I am unsure as to what it means to open the CC application. Can someone help with some more specific instructions as to where I will find this option or indeed if they have another work around without me needing to outline in Illustrator as its proving to be time consuming and I cant get my text to flow as a result.
Please keep in mind that I need to keep the app in English.
Fingers crossed
Joni

The nice thing about Adobe CC, is you're able to download older copies on your computer ( I assume you have a Mac ).
From the Adobe CC desktop menu, scroll up/down to find the section "FIND ADDITIONAL APPS", click on the "Previous Versions" drop menu and choose "VIEW PREVIOUS VERSIONS".
From the same Adobe CC desktop menu, click on InDesign "Install" button to access previous versions, this way you may download InDesign CC (2015) but before you download, switch your Language to "Englis

ME versions not have Arabic/Hebrew interface, they have ability to work with right-to-left features and still have English interface. Open your creative cloud application and choose language version what you want to install. And than install

You may proceed to download InDesign CC (2015) with Arabic / Persian / Urdu capabilities now and have both InDesign versions on the same machine. This way you may run both InDesign versions at the same time if needed hence keeping your English version. But don't forget to switch Creative Cloud language in the Preferences menu back to English.

Hi Zaid, I'm on a PC (gasp I know!) but that seems to have worked out. I updated inDesign as I didn't seem to have the option for an older version but I reinstalled and its allowing me to imput english and farsi into the same document so that will do the job nicely. Thanks so much!

Simple ان شاء الله
Open the Creative Cloud App >> Settings >> Preferences >> Creative Cloud >> Apps >> English يدعم العربية
Right after this step, you will notice that you have to install you applications again (no really) ... after you click on install, it will take only 3 minutes to Adjust your application again.
Re-Open and enjoy
