Multiplying objects in a row, column, grid or circular arrangement?

Is there a way to step, repeat and multiply objects to reate a row, column or a grid layout of them quickly? Similarly is there a way to create a circular layout of evenly spaced objects?

It can be done in another software called AutoCAD. Please see the video for reference.

Currently for horizontal and vertically repeated objects,  I drag and multiply objects using the pick tool and then change the spacing accordingly. I am using Indesign CC 2018

And to quickly get a grid, column or row:

Draw a box, but click and hold, while pressing arrow-keys. Use shift-arrows to modify the space between. Now releas mousebutton.
