Mysterious space between last two lines of a paragraph

I'm trying (and failing) to diagnose what is causing the last line of this paragraph to be further away from the previous lines.

I tried to change paragraph styles, even going back to [Basic Paragraph Style], but they all seem to behave the same way. 

Any idea of what may be happening here?

Should I refrain from using Auto-Leading in general or is there some specific best practice? 

I never use it, I prefer set it precisely.

Post the file. In a case like this, it is almost impossible to diagnose a picture.

My first idea is that you have a paragraph return at the end of the paragraph and that:

• this return is composed in a taller size than the paragraph
• and that your paragraph is set to auto leading

What seems to have solved this was adding a new paragraph break in this same style (a bullet-based one), then going to the beginning of the next paragraph, before the first character and pressing backspace once. 

Now, forgive my ignorance, but what does your "this return is composed in a taller size than the paragraph" mean?

Then, yes, this paragraph has auto-leading and I'm using 150% in general for this document. Changing the leading within the paragraph style to something fixed, though, did not help.

Hi @Inélsòre , There’s also Preferences>Type>Apply Leading to Entire Paragraph. With is unchecked you can change the leading on individual lines
