Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone can help. I am trying to create a brochure template A4 in Indesign, where each page has a graduated background, cyberpunk colours, shocking pink to Neon blue? Can anyone please point me in the direction of a good tutorial to help me please?? I can do it in Illustrator, but wanted to create a marketing branding pack for my business. iIdeally, I would like to do this myself, as I want to learn...

Hi @Prof Dr. Sanjeev Gupta:

Here is a link to the helpx file which explains everything about gradients in InDesign: https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/gradients.html

And a link to a tutorial on gradients: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8XoKzDaUB4

Once you understand gradients, the way that you apply the gradient to the background is by adding an unassigned frame, slightly larger than the paper size. Apply the gradient. Because you gradient will be a background, I would recommend a locking the frame so you don't move it when you're working with items on top.

None of those colors can be reproduced with process colors. You will have to work with spot colors which will be expensive.
For background colors create a layer at the bottom, behind  all other layers. Make a parent page and make this the parent of other parent pages with different background colors.
