New Computer - InDesign Icons Still White

Hello Everyone.

When I updated InDesign a few months ago, my ID icons went white. This has happened before and I could always figure out a solution, but nothing worked this time. (uninstalling/reinstalling, changing the default app) I figured it wasn't that big a deal as I was getting a new computer soon. Today I got it. There were no Adobe Apps on it when IT gave it to me. The icons are still white. Help. I've completely uninstalled ID again, tried installing an older version. Nothing is working. Everything still opens. But it is just so very annoying.

Thanks for any advice.

You don't say which OS you're on. In Windows, you need to go to Default Apps and assign all the InDesign file types to ID — *.indd, *.indb, *.indt and *.idml.

That should create the association that makes the OS use the correct file icons.
