New Document command not working

All of the sudden my Indesign is giving me an error box whenever I click File>New>Document or Ctrl+N

A blank error box appears and has %CCX_FNFT_DIALOG_NAME as the header. It won't let me create a new document.

I can still open an existing document however.

Any ideas?

Go to:

Edit....then

hello,
I have the same problem in the latest version of Indesign. 15.1.1
I can change the preference to legacy 'New Document' but it should work.  I have tried resetting the preferences but it is still the same. It is also using the latest version of CC.
My OS is 10.15.5

Any suggestions?

I had this problem on Mac after the latest update. This worked for me on Mac - I went to InDesign -preferences-general and checked the use legacy new document dialogue box.

Hi on247,

hm. That's quiet a surprise!

What's your version of InDesign on what operating system?

Thanks,

Hi,

Glad to hear that the issue was resolved. If it happens again, you can also try resetting InDesign preferences. Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.

Thanks
