Dear All,
Attached here is a screenshot of 2 level numbered lists I created.
Par. Style for numbers List 1 of 1, 2, 3, Level one
Par. Style for numbers List 2 of a, b, c, Level Two.
Both styles are defined with a different list and level as you can see in the photo.
List 2 is defined with “Restart Numbers at This Level After Any Previous Level” but as you can see, It will not do it.
After 2 and 3, it continues with e, and i while I want both of the to start at a.
I want it to be automatic, and not by defining another style that will say “Start at 1, as I have a very long list of 300 paragraphs .
I have looked all over, but could not find a solution, maybe I’m doing something wrong although I can’t find what.
Thank you
Shlomit
The cause is this entry:
For a multi-level list you have to define a "common" list name first, with menu Type > Bulleted & Numbered Lists.
There go to Define Lists and then New List: Give it a name and check/uncheck the options.
Now back in the paragraph styles insert the list name and the appropriate level as shown in the sceenshot.
This list name has to be the same for all levels.

Just rename the list you called List2 to List1 and you are good to go.
