numbers are truncated on Excel import

MacOS 10.15.7 (19H1824) French localization

InDesign 17.2.0.20 (17200)

Excel 16.58 (16.58.22021501)

 

When importing an Excel sheet as a table, every number is truncated after the first thousand.

1 457 will be imported as 1

21 457 >> 21

(21 457) >> (21

-210457 >> -21

621 457 >> 621

and so on…

 

Since version 1.5 of indy, it's the first time I encounter this bug.

Any one can confirm this behavior?

Is there a workaround?

I am also on 10.15.7 (French version), InDesign 17.2 and Excel 16.59. Impossible to replicate the bug…

Un super-expert doit m'appeler d'ici 24 h.

 

Tu dis que tu n'arrives pas à répliquer le "bug".

Puis-je te demander d'essayer avec le fichier joint?

Les nombres des 2 cellules de la ligne 1 doivent être tronqués.

Ceux de la ligne 3 doivent être complets.

(cf. capture)

(En fait, le problème n'existe que si un format de nombre a été appliqué aux cellules. Si le nombre a été saisi en tant que texte, il s'importe bien.)

Effectivement, j'ai le même problème avec ton fichier test (avec InDesign 15) ! Et je n'ai aucune idée du problème…
