Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded from a MacBook Pro M2 Max to the new MacBook Pro M4 and installed all the latest software updates. While everything worked perfectly on my previous device, I’ve encountered an issue with InDesign (version 20.0.1) on the new MacBook.
Whenever I select an object (e.g., text, frames, etc.) to edit it, the object shifts slightly. This behavior only occurs on the new MacBook Pro M4 and not on my previous device, even though both are running the same version of InDesign and software.
Additionally, Sequoia 15.1.1 is installed on my system, but it has never caused issues in the past.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, or is this a known bug? Are there any solutions or workarounds to address this problem?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Thanks for reaching out! This issue seems unusual, but it may be related to a third-party app. Recently, we've observed multiple cases where the Magnet software on Mac has been causing similar issues in InDesign.
Could you please try disabling or uninstalling Magnet and then test if the problem persists? Let me know if this resolves the issue or if additional troubleshooting is needed.
Looking forward to your update!
Thanks,

Thank you for the helpful information. Since turning off Magnet, everything is working perfectly again. It’s a shame because I really like using Magnet and have been using it without any problems for over a year. In the past, it worked fine with Adobe InDesign. At least now I know what’s causing the issue. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon so I don’t have to turn Magnet off while working in InDesign.
