Odd behaviour > changes which have been made are not shown
We have encontered the folowing behaviour and it hass already happened different times:
We make changes in an existing InDesign document on different pages. Sometimes it now happens that the changes which had been made before (still in the same session before saving the file again) are not shown.
For example we made some text corrections on one page. After having made some other corrections on a different page, the first corretions are not visible any more. Now we see the version prior to the changes. If we now do the corrections again, it sometimes happens that the corrections (for example an added text) are suddenly seen twice. Or it can happen that we save a file where the corrections are not seen, After closing and opening the file again all of a sudden the changes are there.
This happens on two diffrent Mac Pros:
– MacPro End 2013 running MacOS 12.7.2
– MacStudio 2023 running Mac OS 12.7.1
InDesign Version is in both cases 19.1
The files are stored on a shared volume on a Synology NAS. We never had problems like this before with the prior version of InDesign (18.x). We are still trying to figure if this also happens when working on a local machine.
My guess is that InDesign has some kind of Caching problems. But that's just a guess…
Any help would be appreciated.
And I would also like to know if here are other people who have similar problems.
Thanks!
