I was working off-line on one InDesign file, and a few AI files. When I connected to the internet, the AI files (and some pngs) synhed correctly, while the InDesign file was reversed back to the verion aviable online. I can't find any backups on ym laptop, or any other versions of the file. Other threads does not seem too apply to me.
Is there any way I can recover the latest version of the InDesign file?

InDesign files have to be saved in the local Creative Cloud Files folder, which by default is installed in your User folder, in order for them to sync to your cloud account. If you save them outside of the CCF folder they would not sync.

And it was saved in the local cloud folder. In fact, all files (those that synched properly and the one that didn't) belong to the same folder. I found it odd.

I'm sorry but it looks like your file is gone 😞
Unless you haven't used your laptop too much - so some recovery software could undelete your file - but it's not a trivial operation 😞

It's a good practice to keep backups of your files. In my case, I always backup my files to Dropbox, but there are many cloud services you can use.

Also, the User>Creative Cloud Files folder works the same way as Dropbox syncing. If you are saving to the CCF folder, the file and its versions automatically sync to the cloud—you can get at the version history from a web browser. Right click files saved in the CCF folder to view the history online—successfully sync’d files have a green check mark:

I didn't know I could track the update time. Very helpful! Unfortunately, it didn't solve my problem, the last update there is still old. I guess I did something wrong when saving, I will be more careful next time, and I will surely save a local (on my drive) bakcup version just in case. Thanks a lot!
