On mac, ALT+arrow is for kerning. Is it possible to set it up to the conventional word navigation ?

• alt+arrow : navigate (or select with shift) by word
• command+arrow : navigate (or select with shift) by line

You can change that in the keyboard shortcut editor (Edit > Keyboard shortcuts).

How? I can't find any way to edit that. The `Character` panel doesn't show up in the list of Panel Menus under Keyboard Shortcuts, nor is it under `Application Menus > Type`.

1. Open the Keyboard Shortcut editor.

2. Click 'Show Set' -- your OS's default text editor opens with the key definitions displayed.

3. Search for ctrl + left arrow. That finds this line:

Move to the left one word --- Text: Ctrl+Left Arrow

4. Scroll up so you can see which section (Praduct area)it's in. You'll see Text and Tables.

5. Close the text editor.

6. In the KBSC editor select Text and Tables in the Product Area dropdown

7. Go to the line 'Move to the left one word'

8. Remove what's there (Ctrl+Left arrow on my system).
