My new MacBook Pro no longer manages the simple screen display of Indesign files since the update to 16.2.1. Content is pulled apart like chewing gum or not displayed at all, even with small files containing only text. Screenshots are attached.
According to the activity panel, InDesign requires 600 - 800 MB of memory without a file being open.
Have already uninstalled and completely re-downloaded the programme. Problem is still there.
Who has a solution? Thanks!
Did you try to turn off GPU performance?

The laptop is connected to the power. Nevertheless, I have now tried this. Nothing. Nothing after restarting either.
GPU switched on again, restart with NVRAM reset, suddenly it works. Very strange...
Thanks for your tip, which ultimately led to the solution 🙂

Hi Uwe –
i got a M1 and the text in InDesign keep disapeering whenever i do a change e.g. click on the textbox. It only is displayed on screen again, when clicking somewhere else. This is pretty annoying as the workflow is impossible. It's the current InDesign Version and the current Mac System on a M1 Desktop. THANKS for a swift answer!
