opening a Corrupt file with a indesign lock file

Hello InDesign community,

Similar to one of the conversations on the Adobe community website between the community and Pam_Bourdon, one of my InDesign files has crashed.

I am working on windows 10 and Adobe Indesign CC 2018. Whenever I try to open the file Indesign says it is damaged and asks me whether I need to restore it and want Indesign to store it for me. Please find attached the screenshot of the message. Even if I save the file with a different name on a separate location, on opening Indesign, it straightaway crashes. I tried doing this same drill on three separate computers but to no avail.

The computers at my institute reboot every monday. As I was working on one of those computers I preferred working directly on a USB. I did not copy the file on the computer.Please find attached the file with the screenshots for your reference.

I sincerely ask for your help in this matter. That is the only file which I had which contained my final layout. Recreating the entire layout is a time consuming task as my submission is due on Friday I have to add some more stuff in that file. Please can you guys suggest me some possible alternatives and if possible help me fix this file?

Received your email! You guys are awesome..I want to hug you guys!!! The idml file works but the text is unavailable. I cannot seem to open the other heavy file.But this saves me a ton of work!! Thanks a lot for helping in this desperate time..really grateful!
