Question

Overlapping items changing colour

I am creating a workbook and have used a specific colour for the header and footer. However, for print purposes, I need to add a central border (connecting the spread) with the same colour. Every time I add the central border, it changes the colour of the header and footer to a slightly lighter shade and will not allow me to change it back to the original colour. Is there any way of getting around this?

However, for print purposes

So, why do you use RGB colors? You can import RGB photos if you want since there will be converted to CMYK when you will generate the PDF but you should work in CMYK mode for all objects created in the InDesign file.

Most certainly some transparency or other blending space setting (RGB colour shown as CMYK, as it would print) going on.

Is your colour defined as RGB?

If you go to Edit/Transparency Blend Space and change it to Doucument RGB, do you still see this happening?

Yes, all of it is set to RGB and just seems to change the colour code by a few digits

Hi @MJacko4722 , can you share a sample spread where the color change is happening? You can attatch an .INDD file to your replay.
