Overset text when I link two or more text boxes

I have a large document of around 100 pages. Within the document there are several long, numbered lists I have threaded between two or more frames. This is helpful as I add additional information to one or more list items. 

Question: Why does iD Preflight panel throw an Overset text error on these threaded frames? If I connect Frame1 to Frame2, wouldn't iD know that the container has been extended? I've tried tweaking the frame sizes, in all threaded frames, but this does nothing. 

 

Am I doing this wrong? Or, does it even matter, as long as all text intended to be visible is visible?

    Can you post a screenshot of the threaded frames, showing hidden characters?

    Thank you. I was able to fix this. This was caused by my own dumb error, where I was not paying attention to massive blank areas between pages. I was able to go back and detail the sizes of these multipage text boxes and fixed the issue.
