Page numbering and sections

Hi, I have an indesign document like this :

- Section 1 : page 1 to page 10

- Section 2 : page 1 to 30

- Section 3 : page 1 to 20

 

For each page, I want to have the page number in the document, and the page number in the section.

 

Ex : Page 11/60 + Section 2/Page 1

 

Is it possible with Indesign ?

I would use a book file to link the individual documents. 

For the page number use a current page number marker, followed by the last page number in the document. (The last page number variable is one reason why you would use a book file.)

 

For the section number/page number, I would use a numbered list that includes the chapter number. (The other reason for using a book file.)

It sounds like you may need to learn about text variables to use the format "<current page number>/<last page number" like "Page 11/60"
