Hi,
I've had a problem for some months in which the Pages Thumbnails do not all show up in various InDesign documents which I am working on. In horizontal orientation, icons 1-6 show, and 7-9 do not - perhaps they are hidden behind the main "pages/layers/links/etc." RH sidebar in InDesign. In vertical orientation, I am only able to scroll about 2/3 of the way down in my thumbnails. The rest are clearly there (I can see usually part of a thumbnail at the bottom), but I cannot scroll down to access.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Solutions?
Thanks,
Isaac
I'm unable to find and delete the preferences file
Ok, so on Windows:
Delete InDesign Defaults in this folder:
C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\<Version #>\<Language>\
-and-
Delete InDesign SavedData here:
C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Adobe\InDesign\<Version #>\<Language>\Caches\
If you can't find some of these folders, show hidden folders.

Try resetting your preferences. On the mac after you reset them restart your computer.
For InDesign
1. Exit the application
(on the mac restart the system)
2. Press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Windows) or Shift+Option+Command+Control (macOS)
as you start Illustrator. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new
preferences files are created the next time you start the application.

Hi Barb and Katie, thanks for your input here.
I opened InDesign (not Illustrator as is noted above in Katie's instructions) using shift+ctrl+alt, however an option to reset preferences did not come up. Is there a different way to reset them?
See below screenshot:

Drag the panel wider. Move over the left edge of the Pages panel. Look for the double-headed arrow, and drag left.

You can reset them by hand. Review PDF below. Can you drag the panel out so it is floating. You seem to be missing your scroll bar. Try resetting them by hand Indesign will ask you to reset with a dialog box so it did not reset.

Hi Katie and Steve,
I'm unable to find and delete the preferences file noted in the PDF linked to above, however I did reset the workspace. See below the thumbnails space dragged onto the main page. It feels like InDesign is reading my screen size or something similar wrongly...

Hi Barb,
I was able to find and delete those files (thanks for the accurate and detailed instructions), and the thumbnails are now showing up properly.
Thanks to all of you for your help.
Best,
Isaac

In this PDF I attached is the directions to reset by hand and my modifiers as well as the directions to reset every application in the Adobe family. This might be a good thing to review for the future.

I saved my document as an IDML file and instantly the thumbnails appeared and stayed when I saved back to .indd file. Doc seems otherwise OK but check you don't lose anything if you try this (do it on a copy).
