Paragraph style does not retain the regular font

Hello everyone, I have this problem: when I apply the paragraph style with the regular font, inexplicably the text turns into italic. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks

It looks that you also have applied a character style on your text. It is possible that this italic character style is applied by default.

    thank you jmlevy. I applied the regular font style to the paragraph style. Also in the text table/ font window is Adobe Garamon Pro regular. I also did not do any italic font style

    Unfortunately, your screenshot is not sufficient to understand what happens. But, in the table under the score, I see that italic is applied to the text between parenthesis. Would it be possible that there is a GREP style? Could you share the file (or a part of it)? It would be helpful to understand.
