Hello everyone, I have this problem: when I apply the paragraph style with the regular font, inexplicably the text turns into italic. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks

It looks that you also have applied a character style on your text. It is possible that this italic character style is applied by default.

thank you jmlevy. I applied the regular font style to the paragraph style. Also in the text table/ font window is Adobe Garamon Pro regular. I also did not do any italic font style

I have downloaded your file: the only places where you have italics on the text is because the paragraph style has been overriden. It can be easily seen becuase there is a litle plus sign beside the paragraph name in the paragraph style panel.

But I also see that you have set up your paragraph style with Garamond Pro, 12 pts but you also have (in numerous places), a character style in Garamond Pro 11 pts…

You should clean up your file, by:

  • unapplying the useless character styles
  • create an italic character style and applying it when necessary.
