Hello and happy new year to all!
I am reworking on some bilingual booklets (ancient greek and english), but the original files are built in print order, and none of the text boxes are linked. I figured it was easier just to start from scratch and copy the text over in order into one continuous text box that spans page to page. I created a document of the size I wanted and got the spreads and parent pages set up as they were before. The other thing I did was import ALL paragraph styles from the original and set them to override any existing styles with the same name (just in case the original designer edited the basic paragraph style).
The problem I am running into is that, when I copy over the text from the original to the new file, it increases the leading, even though the settings in the style on both ducuments are set to the exact same thing. I have attatched pictures of the text before and after pasting. I have looked to ensure my clipboard settings keep formatting, I've pasted with and without formatting and then reapplied the style, I have made sure there are no character styles applied. I even sent it to my brother to try. He was able ot copy between the two without issue. That prompted me to downgrade from v18.5 to v18.3 (which is what he was using) in case the issue was a software bug, however, that didn't fix anything.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I may be missing? I tried to be as specific as possible where I thought it necessary, but I can provide more info if need be.
Really looking forward to getting some help. Thanks to all!
Fr. Ephraim
It looks like your text is aligned on the baseline grid (in the paragraph style options) but that the increment of the baseline grid is different between the 2 documents. Check the preferences > Grids of both files.

That did the trick! Thank you so much. Never would have looked there...
