Hello, I am trying to copy and paste in place some objects and keep them on the layers but it doesn't work. Layer panel Paste Remembers Layers is checked, so not sure what I am doing wrong, could anyone advise please. Thank you

It's working here.

Any clipboard utilities installed?

You'll have to demonstrate your specific example here with screenshots so we can see exactly what you're attempting to do and how the result differs from the expected outcome.

Objects? Were they created in Illustrator or Photoshop? In that case, Paste Remembers Layers does't work. Use File > Place and control layer visibility via Object > Object Layer Options.

You say it doesn't work...what does that mean?

Can we see some screenshots?

I'd start by restoring your InDesign preferences. Here's how:

Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences
