in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Hi @Neeai ,
what happens instead? Maybe InDesign has no access to a specific typeface only Word knows about?
Something else? Best attach a sample InDesign document plus a sample Word doc and describe what you did step by step.
Thanks,

Hello @Neeai,
Thank you for providing the files. We’ve tested them on our end but couldn’t replicate the issue. However, we did notice a difference in your clipboard settings compared to ours. We recommend adjusting those settings and testing the issue again. Here’s a screenshot for reference.
Please let us know if this resolves the issue.
Thank you,
Abhishek Rao

You may need to adjust the Clipboard preferences, under Edit | Preferences | Clipboard Handling. There are a number of ways to tweak how clipboard info is handled and pasted. There are also limits on how formatting can transfer, varying with the source app, but a Word clip should carry at least basic formatting with it if the preferences are set to allow it.

I like it. Let's you start fresh with the type and you have more control. Word does not have to many options.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with pasting formatted text from Word into InDesign on your MacBook. To better assist you, could you please confirm the exact version of InDesign and macOS you're using?
Also, if you're using InDesign version 19.5, this feature should generally work. If possible, could you share a sample Word document and InDesign file so we can investigate the issue on our end?
After pasting the text, you should see an option to select "Paste with Formatting." Please check if this option appears and if it helps maintain the formatting.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to helping you resolve this issue.
Best,
Anshul Saini
