PDF / Imported comments still jumping around

I've had this issue since the feature was introduced and still have seen it fixed. Happens to co-workers, so I don't think it's native to me. Sometimes, when importing the comments & applying the edits, the comments list jumps all around. Have to wait 5, 10, 15 seconds for it to calm down. Not all PDFs nor all documents. I don't see a commonality for when it does happen.

These are auto-edit comments, yes?

In watching your movie, I noted that the corrections seemed to involved removing whole lines or more than one line. Which, of course causes all the text to reflow. As I understand it, the only way to keep the comments aligned with the content is to not have anything reflow and move all around. A caution in the helpfiles is that once you send out for comments, don't continue to move things around in the document. Hence, the only auto-edit comments that would be acceptable would be small selections words that don't change the overall line length/volume/number of lines. Auto-edit comments that cut away multiple lines would seem to me to upset that apple cart.

The only way I can think of to work-around this fragile situation is to start with comment edits at the far-end of the document and work backwards toward the first page. And that is just a wild guess, really.

Not sure what you mean by "auto-edit". And these are comments mostly changing prices (done correctly in Acrobat). PDF created from current Indesign file. No changes to ID file after creation of PDF. I navigate to each one and click "Replace". This starts the jumping. Whether I begin at the top of the corrections or the bottom makes no difference - still jumping. If I try to Auto Replace all comments, the edits will be applied, but the panel never stops jumping, making a force quit the only option to return to working. While the panel is jumping, nothing can be done. 

But not every PDF. Only about 25% or so. Can't figure out any commonality between the problematic ones.
