Performing certain functions causes shapes and text to go grayscale.

I'm updated to v16.3.2, operating on Big Sur.

 

Occasionally, certain functions (changing values, placing an image, etc.) will cause my shapes and text to go grayscale. This color change stays upon export.

 

Appreciate any advice!

Hi Clark,

as shown in your movie reducing opacity will get you the issue. The result is not grayscale.

You should check if a dark object is behind that selected image frame.

My setup is basically the same as yours but have no such problems.

 

I would start by restoring your InDesign preferences and caches. Here's how:
