When ever I open the programe it wants to give me some tool tips on the libraries panel and it does it every single time. I have even turned tool tips off but it wont give up.

This is from a clean install of windows. Brand new install of adobe.

Hi @garethirwin1234,

I can totally understand how frustrating it is when the tooltips keep popping up, especially when you're trying to focus on your work! Could you please let me know the version of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop you're using, along with your operating system details?

Since this is happening across multiple Adobe apps, it might be related to preferences not saving correctly. Try resetting your preferences by holding "Ctrl+Alt+Shift" (Windows) when launching the apps. Reference: Set preferences in Adobe InDesign

Let me know if this helps.

Thank you,
Abhishek Rao

When you install a next version, the default settings of the installer seek to bring forward a migration of your settings. So, even a new install could start with problems. Could you try a removing them, running the CC cleaner app, and then reinstalling with care taken not to migrate settings?

It was a brand new fresh install of windows 11 followed by a brand new install of creative cloud. This is a bug and its doing my head in.

Hi @i?sabet_8119,

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing the same issue with the persistent tool tips! That can definitely be frustrating. Could you please provide the version of InDesign you’re using and details about your operating system?

If possible, sharing a video of the issue would be really helpful. Tool tips should only appear twice after resetting preferences, so if they’re showing up more often, it may indicate a problem that we need to address.

Please check and let me know if you see the tool tips more than twice after the reset. Thank you for your patience, and I'm here to assist you!

Best,
Abhishek Rao

I did speak to chat support today but they didnt really want to know unless I could prove it by showing it, which was frustrating to say the least, as its intermittent and I had already dismissed them that morning.

I guess by reseting prefs all my panels disappear again etc, which takes so much time to get right and this is super frustrating as its a brand new install of both windows and adobe. But here we are ten days later and Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign all show the same tool tips ONLY FOR LIBRARIES PANEL constantly every day, 2 or 3 times in the day.

Hi @garethirwin1234,

I completely understand your frustration-intermittent issues can be really annoying, especially when you’ve just set everything up anew. Thank you for sharing your experience with chat support; it sounds like a challenging situation.

Regarding the persistent tool tips for the Libraries panel, I appreciate your patience in troubleshooting. Resetting preferences can indeed be a hassle, but it’s often a useful step to pinpoint issues. If the tool tips continue to appear after the reset, I’d recommend documenting them with a quick screen recording when they occur, as that can help us further diagnose the problem.

Please let me know if you’d like guidance on resetting preferences without losing your workspace settings, and I’ll do my best to assist you!

Thank you for your understanding,

Abhishek Rao

Preferences were reset on Friday. Still constantly getting repeated tool tips for CC libraries in photoshop, illustrator and indesign.

At what point do you guys ask me for logs, start investigating etc? One of you went on my system the other day but wouldn't do anything unless I provided proof of it happening, like this is some great fun event for me or something.

Hi @garethirwin1234,

I truly empathize with your situation-dealing with persistent tool tips can be incredibly frustrating, especially after resetting preferences. I appreciate your patience throughout this process.

When the issue occurs again, could you please share a screenshot of the tool tip that appears in the Libraries panel? This will help us understand the problem better and investigate further.

Thank you for your cooperation, and I’m here to support you in resolving this!

Best,
Abhishek Rao

These are the tooltips that OP is referencing. It happens every time an app is launched after a restart, acting like I've never opened them before. Screenshots from InDesign and Photoshop.

Well they have closed my case, they took some logs, the new 2025 version is out and doing exactly the same thing.

I think they just don't have a clue or are to arrogant to fix it, along with the persistent issues with indesign, year in year out, year in, year out.

Lets face it they have us by the short and curlies.

Please anyone with an alternative? The constant forced updates, CC running all sorts of things in the background using up my RAM so I constantly have to shut it down or turn off my WIFI to get things to run. The tool tips are driving me INSANE and won't stop, even when turned off. I really really can't stand working like this anymore.
