Hello,

I am working on a birth card in photoshop. The pressman asks me to deliver an InDesign file because of the use of a spot colour. I am trying to get my design in to InDesign but i cant get it to work.

I hope someone can help me

Create a new blank document in InDesign, to the correct size and with proper bleeds.

Then use File > Place to put your Photoshop file into the InDesign document.

I'd need more detail about how you are creating and using the spot color to give your further advise on how to prepare the file for your printer.

Thank you, it worked! So simple haha, i never use InDesign...

To print white the need a spot colour, so i made all the "white" parts yellow. I made a new colour swatch, made it the same yellow and named it "SpotColor_White". This is what the pressman told me to do.
