Picture at top of page gets cut by text

I am getting semi-confident with the quirks of anchoring images within text and getting them to do what I would like. Every time I find something that works I save it with a very descriptive object type name so that I can reuse it. 

So far images had always cut the text flow (i.e.: text-return-image-return-text) while now I need some images alongside text. 

If they do not have to be at the top of the page I can just put the anchor point at the end of paragraph 1 and the image will be positionable at the beginning of paragraph 2. But look at the attached picture. 

The image needs to be to the right as it is and the anchor point is the first character of the page. 

Why the first line is cutting the image? Changing text wrap doesnt help a single bit. 

What can I do to get what I need?

ADD: even with Detect edges the first line of text is ignored.

Ahem. This is the other fact about Text Wrap and anchored frames:

They do not wrap text before the anchor character. Never.

    I moved the anchor character so that it just works. 

    Unwieldy? Yes. Does it work? Yes. So let's move on!

    Hi Inélsòre,

    with text wrap used on anchored frames the first text line holding the anchor is always ignored by the wrap.

    That's no bug: The feature unfortunately is built this way.

     

    To work around the issue give the anchor its own paragraph or anchor the frame in the previous paragraph if there is any.

      Thanks Uwe.

      I eventually found the small paragraph talking about that feature this morning in the Help article on Text Wrap. 

      By now I have worked around it by inserting a graphic frame below the anchored object and giving it text wrap. It works. 

      Of course if things will move I will need to adjust it again. 

      Now I'm on to the next issue:

      The picture is anchored after the end of the paragraph with these Custom settings: 

      ... I don't get why Text Wrap is just not working.

      I guess the same limitations apply when a frame is anchored to the last line of the paragraph.
