Hi, we've just updated InDesign to the latest version. When we use the JavaScript (jsx) Place Multipage PDF script we no longer get the 'Page Selection, Sizing, Positioning or Placement Options' window. The only window that opens is 'Choose a Document'. The PDF imports into the new ID document and thats it. Any ideas or are we doing something wrong? Thanks

The script you have used is not good.

The better script is "MultiPageImporter"

Hello,
When I click this script in InDesign , nothing happens. In both 15.0.1 and 14.0.2 for Mac. Would you have any advice on how to get it to run? Thanks!

Hi Dan,

how did you install it? What's your localized version of InDesign? English International? Something else?
Is the script available in the Scripts panel of InDesign?

If yes, try to run it using the command in the context menu after you selcted the script.

Hi Uwe,

I have hundreds of pages of PDFs to place and need to specify the size, so Adobe's Multi-page PDF importer requires importing size-as in an 8.5 x 11 document, then resizing the file, then exporting the pages to the target correct size document ...

I'm trying Mike Edel's Multipageimporter.jsx, version 2.6.4

I'm working in ID 2023 (Mac Monterey 12.6).

I click context-on script (in User folder of Scripts), choose the document, and it just hangs with the wheel of doom going. Same for ID 2022, 2021, and 2020.

Is there somethine I'm doing wrong, or a more updated version of the script?

Thanks! Writing on the eve of Christmas eve in a howling snowstorm and wishing everyone well.

Linda

Hi Linda,

could be that something's wrong or unexpected with the PDF files you like to place.

Hard to tell when we have no access to your PDF file.

How many PDF pages do you like to place from that one PDF file?

Did you try to place the PDF without using the script? Could you do that successfully?

Can you show a screenshot of the GUI of the script so that we can see what options you like to use?

Thanks,
Uwe Laubender
