Placing and scaling objects from CC library

Hi

I have a question about the CC Library.

When I use it i Illustrator, I can drag an object from the library and scale it in tehe same operation before dropping it.

In Indesign, I can scale the bounding box in the same way, but when I let go of the mouse and drop it, the objects size is reset to the same size every time.

Not a big thing, but it is bugging me every time. What am I missing?

Thank you

Ahh - so it would appear on the small film, but the object with the paperclip is actually created in Illustrator. In the job, that I was working, on it was a png-file, that acted up. I have tried with a simple rectangle just now, and it is the same thing...

Yes, I just work around it and scale afterwards, but it is stange :·)

Thanks

Yes the object with the paperclip was crated in Illustrator but the text and some other frames in that group were not. Actually the real problem is that you created the CC Library object from within InDesign. If you would have created the entire design in Illustrator and created the CC Library from WITHIN Illustrator, it would work for you as expected and not the way it is now. You'd be able to drag it out at any size that you wish. The issue is that the CC Library object was created from within InDesign. If you haven't had the chance, you should check out my LinkedIn Learning course "Learning the Adobe Creative Cloud". There's lots of tips in there that may help you.

Both Illustrator and InDesign do a proportional place when placing an object or dragging it from a CC Library. Make sure in the InDesign preferences under Preferences > General, that the option "Make Content-aware Fit the Default Frame Fitting Option" is unchecked. This may be causing the behavior that you're experiencing.

Thank you for your reply - Unfortunately this was not the solution in my case. I have enclosed a little snip to show the problem :·)
