Placing multiple images into shape

Without further explanation, your attachment gives no useful information.

Eugene's approach is what I would do, but you'd have to first manually place and overlap them the way you want before you group them. It's not going to happen automatically.

Yes - group them
Then use Edit>Paste into the shape you want it in
