Placing pdf or Ill files in Indd - missing page from pdf.

When I place a pdf file or an Ill file, only the elements inside the file appear in the picture box. The page from the pdf or Ill file isn't there. It used to be that when placing the file, the page would be there as well.

I have been dragging pdf's and Ill files into Indd for years and recently it has changed - so I was wondering if the problem is because of an update or if I need to check a box somewhere in Indd.

To work around the problem, I have to go into each Ill file and create a white box the size of the page so that it shows up in Indd when I import it. This is a big hassle as I have many files to update.

When placing your file, checked the Show Import Options.

Choose 'Trim' from the Crop to: dropdown to place the file cropped to the trim size.
