preview mode not displaying text?

I would really like to preview the text I am designing. But it is just displaying as a block as if InDesign is in stuck in normal mode. It isn't in this mode as far as I am aware?

Okay. Go to preferences > display performance > greek type below

 

Set it to zero.

I can see text when zooming in but I really need to see the whole page?

 

Also the presentation quick preview text. Thank you
