Print to Booklet INDD 2022

Is it possible to adjust the page size to 11x17 to create printer spreads when using Print to Booklet [(INDD CC 2022; MacOS Monterey (12.6)]? I have an officejet print driver installed, which only accommodates 8.5x11 paper size so manually adjusting the size to 11x17 isn't working.  The preview of the imposition looks accurate, but when converted from PostScript to PDF, the odd numbered pages are missing.  Per other searches, installing an Adobe Print to PDF driver on a Mac is not supported.  Really stumped as to how to do this! I've searched many forums, but all are 5-10 years old.  Thanks!

I would recommend you print your file by choosing print from indesign and choose Booklet printing from your Printer's Panel.

Hi @SarieSibert ,

Thanks for reaching out. Please try the suggestions shared by the experts, and you can also refer to this similar discussion on the community, which you can refer to here https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-print-booklet-issue/td-p/11678974

"the odd numbered pages are missing"

Yup. Since the PPD of your Office Jet won't allow a page size larger than what it can print itself, your booklet spreads get cropped down to the letter size, usually from the bottom left corner, hence all the right pages are "gone".

Once you install the PPD mentioned by @chrisg11235813 , you can use any size or create a custom one. I find the best practice is to Define an InDesign Print Preset for your "Booklet 11x17": (my measurements are in Picas, but you get the gist)

Since you are doing a simple 11x17 booklet with no need for bleeds or marks, you can leave those off in the Marks and Bleeds section.

Then, when you go to Print Booklet, simply select your "Booklet 11x17" Print Preset, and you should be set.
