I recently moved my CS5 Design Premium to a new computer (Windows 10). When I tried to access the InDesign Help files, I got a message that "Adobe InDesign CS5 help is not installed, or the installation has been damaged." I downloaded the updated installation file that an Adobe tech had given me a link to, but they apparently didn't want to provide any more support than that, and referred me to the forum when I said that something wasn't working. Any ideas on how to get that help file working will be appreciated.

Update to InDesign CC.

I would consider that if Adobe were to go back to selling software instead of renting it. As an occasional user, who does not get a lot of use out of the suite, their annual subscription price is way over my budget.

Hi George,
Thanks for your helpful reply. I tried going to a similar address for DreamWeaver, using /dreamweaver/ instead of /indesign/ and it got me to a similar page, but there the help link seemed to be broken and I got an error 404. Any idea how to get the actual help file?
Thanks.
Larry

CS5 is totally unsupported under Windows 10. If this is the only issue you're having consider yourself fortunate.
You should also be prepared for any future update to completely hose software as old as CS5.

Does anyone know the link for the DreamWeaver help files? I was able to find the archive page, but the link for the help file was broken and all I got was an "error 404".

Have you considered asking in the Dreamweaver forum?
BTW, you can also subscribe to InDesign on a month to month basis.
