Problem with spacing on the next line

New Here ,
Jan 16, 2024 Jan 16, 2024

Hello everyone,

I am having this issue, where i cant seem to make the text align itself correctly.
I am using what i think to be the same overall settings (Ctrl + a on the textframe before screenshotting the settings). I have also enabled hidden characters, but there is nothing to delete. If i ad a tab, it's still off.

Please help. 🙂

And from your 2nd screenshot - you have empty fields for left & first line indents = you've different values there for some paragraphs in your block of text - try to override - enter your new values.

You need to set Indents in the ParaStyle definition - or in Paragraph:

Hello,

Thank you - but that did not change anything. As i've typed above, the indent etc. styles are equal for the entire textframe, however the indents are different (no hidden characters).

I assume, you've Bullets & Numbering activated - so there is no extra TAB between number and text.

Make a Paragraph Style; fully define it; apply to selected text; don't manually keyboard any tab characters.
