Hello!
I have a problem with placing Word tables into InDesign. Everything seems to work fine aside from sequence of the placed table.
In Word it looks like this:
mat bus rozkład Nce-Krk (aktualizacja 19.10.2016).doc - Google Docs
But in Design like this:
I tried to apply various options but none of the worked.
Anyone could help me with this problem?
PS. I use InDesign 5.5
Thank you in advance

There are no magic buttons "do it 100% import" in any soft. This is your work to do cell/table/paragraph styles and than apply this styles to your tables.
If your work often everyday with tables than you can try woodwing smartstyles plugin.

Hi
Remove unnecessary returns in your Word doc.
That will be a good start...

The problem is in the sequence of columns in the table.
While in the original file, the sequence is:
- hours - pn-pt minutes - sb minutes - nd and swieta minutes
in the ID file it is other way round
- nd and swieta minutes - sb minutes - pn-pt minutes - hours

Yep, I've seen that.
Experience shows that unnecessary carriage returns/hard returns (and many other special characters) often mess up while importing Word or Excel data into INDD.
I tried cleaning your word file, and the columns went back to original.
Have a try.
If not working, we'll try to figure out what other actions can be done.
regards
Vinny
